Code SC-Haven’t Had My Coffee Yet (Renewing Eye Gel)

February 28, 2011

Let’s face it. Everyday toxins are not good for our skin. And even worse for our eyes. Eyes, as gentle and fragile as they are, are subjected to countless toxins, lack of sleep and stress, everyday. Ouch. My poor eyes. And I want to take care of them, but the last thing I want is a greasy eye cream. I don’t want it to be visible under my eye.  I am especially partial to gels when it comes to eye creams.  I like that they absorb quickly and generally have a cooling feeling under the eye. This is a great eye cream from Code SC called Haven’t Had My Coffee Yet, a Renewing Eye Gel. We all know how we feel when we don’t get our morning fix of whatever it maybe, coffee, etc.  Our eyes are usually pretty neglected and need all the help we can give them.  Gently of course.

“A super-charged gel treatment to beat puffy eyes, dark circles, and tired skin around the eyes. Made with plant-based peptides to stimulate circulation around the eye area to reduce dark circles and puffiness caused by fluid retention. It’s also incredible for fighting the effects of stress, fatigue, and genetic or dietary circles and puffiness. Feels fantastic and results can be seen almost instantly. Look alive, even when you need to crash.”

I encounter a lot of dryness under my eyes, as well the delightful dark circles that have been passed down to me. (thanks mom! just kidding..) But in all seriousness even if you eat exceptionally well, and stay fit, get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, etc. There are just some things in life we have no control over. Dark circles is one of them. The good news is that there are products to ease those issues.

  • Aloe Vera:  A “miracle” skin care ingredient. Soothing, healing, refreshing. Contains almost 20 amino acids and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, enzymes, vitamins, polysaccharides, nitrogen and other components. It is a cellular regenerator and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects. Assists in increasing blood circulation, which transfers oxygen between the cells and provides essential nourishment.
  • Palmitoyl Oligopeptide: Peptides are the building blocks, or bonds, between amino acids. Research has shown that peptides in general aid in skin repair and renewal. Palmitoyl oligopeptide is a fairly new peptide and is being researched as the new best thing next to retinol, but without any side effects. 🙂
  • Mushroom Extracts: A natural Shiitake complex. Provides beneficial antioxidant activity and helps block the production of harmful proteins that can cause Collagen breakdown.
  • Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Hydroxysuccinimide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3, Chrysin: This combination of ingredients help eliminate excess iron and other pigments that cause dark circles under/around the eye. Reinforces and tones eye area.

I like that it felt very soothing, and refreshing. It helped tame any dryness I had, and firmed the area around the eyes. Now guys, this may be un-chartered territory for you. But a creative guy, made this, for you. Thats a sign from the beauty gods, that it is acceptable to use an eye cream/gel. I honestly don’t know ANYone who wouldn’t benefit from an eye treatment. We all could. So even if you haven’t had your coffee, doesn’t mean you should leave the house, looking like a scary train wreck. Take good care of your eyes.
