Lafe’s Organic Foaming Baby Shampoo & Wash

October 2, 2010

I recently found this great baby line by Lafe’s Organics. They are fantastic products. And super safe for your little one.  The line consists of 5 products:Foaming Shampoo/Wash, Massage Oil, Baby Lotion, Baby Bug Spray, and Mother-to-Be Deodorant. I will be reviewing the Shampoo/Wash, as well as the Lotion. I like all sorts of washes, I like liquids, I love a good bar of soap, and I really love foaming products. They just seem to last a really long time. Less waste. This Shampoo & Wash is no exception. Its exceptional.

Lafe’s Natural and Organic, is safe all around…  “because what goes on your body, goes in your body”. A lot of times, we care so much about what we use on our babies, what we are washing with, and what we are spreading on our babies that we don’t stop to think,….”What about the container it is in? Is it Safe?”

Thankfully Lafe’s has your covered no worries, so you can get back to life as you know it. And if you have kids, that means chaos, but of the good kind haha.  Lafe Larson, founder of Lafe’s Natural Bodycare, understands that people want products they can trust to be truly natural and genuinely healthy. Lafe’s is concerned about your babies health. Thats why their baby products are all housed in certified, baby safe, EA-Estrogenic Activity Free Plastics. No BPA, Bisphenol A. Most plastics release estrogenic chemicals that are harmful to babies and children.

So the outside is peachy, super safe and exceptionally well made. What about the inside? Is the inside of it just as good? Tells us about the goods! Ok!  I am pleased to tell you the contents of this safe bottle, are amazing. Hands down, the best foaming baby wash I’ve used, and definitely makes it to my list of must have baby washes. It doesn’t really, but mom’s, please listen,…in cased you missed the memo, lather isn’t all its cracked up to be. This wash is extraordinary. It comes out in this somewhat thick, rich, smooth, and soft texture. Your probably thinking, soft? How can you describe it as such? I don’t know. All I know is it feels so soft and smooth as you rub it on your babies skin. It feels soft. 🙂

As I stated it is fragrance free. We are a generation of fragrance snobs. We think that things must smell good. Fragrance is not always a good thing. Even the cleanest of products scented with  natural essential oils, can bother some babies. You can read the post on Lafe’s Blog, on why they do not use fragrances in baby products.vIts nice to see some companies go naked. Does it smell good? It doesn’t smell bad, how that? It doesn’t really smell like anything. But its not supposed to. I love the transparency of the company and applaud their no fragrance stance. Our babies smell like, our babies. They are unique and individual, and each has their own scent, that we as moms love. Its time we un-scent our babies, and smell them for who they are. 😉

This wash as well as Lafe’s other baby and adult products, are available online at the Lafe’s Store and at leading retail stores, such as Whole Foods and Wild Oats.

I will see if I can find out, but I didn’t find a twitter or facebook page of Lafe’s Products. In the meantime, swing by Lafe’s Blog, for some great reading.

Hugs & Lip Gloss,

Beauty Mama
