Korres Quercetin & Oak Age-reversing Primer

September 14, 2010

I’ve been dipping my toes in the yummy goodness that is make up primer. Its been a great learning experience. Do you use one? You should. Finding the right one that works with your skin, is key. Primers are not, and should not be seen as a one size fits all. Theres loads of different primers out there that are for different skin types, that do different things for your skin, etc. So theres one for everyone, you just need to decide what works best for you. From the Korres site (because they explain it so much better):

Powerful treatment and skin-perfecting face primer in one that instantly fills wrinkles and provides a very smooth and perfected skin surface, ensuring long lasting make up application. Enriched with powerful antioxidant Quercetin and Oak extracts that improve skin cell functioning, repair fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture and elasticity. Hyaluronic acid forms a protective shield on the skin, providing immediate moisture and increasing skin elasticity while Barley extract instantly fills wrinkles and refines pores. Improves skin texture, thus providing a healthy glow to skin even without make-up. Silicone-free; does not clog the pores.
• 97% saw improved skin texture
• 88% saw significant increase in skin elasticity
• 84% saw visibly firmer, tighter skin
• 75% saw immediate lifting

Absolutely NO yucky stuff:

– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Fragrances
– Synthetic Dyes
– Petro-Chemicals
– Phthalates
– GMOs
– Triclosan

This may sound weird, but in my perfect world, EVERYTHING, would either come in a squeeze tube or some sort of stick form. Its just easier. Anyways. Its a 1 ounce tube of concentrated skin perfection. It goes on sheer, and is Silicone-free so it does not clog the pores. Make up primer does more then just make your makeup behave, and stay where you put it. Especially this one. This primer is suitable, even if you don’t plan on putting makeup over top of it. It improves skin texture, providing a healthy glow to skin. Gives a nice matte, even toned, poreless finish.

In the summer because this summer especially was super hot, I didn’t need it as much. It was a tad bit rich over top of the coordinating oil control treatment. But now that fall is approaching and its dryer, its working very well for me. I didn’t wear a whole lot of makeup this summer, the heat was so crazy wicked my makeup didn’t stand a chance.

This is a great primer, and I love that someone made one addressing the issues of fine lines and wrinkles. Because underneath our makeup a smooth canvas is essential.

You can find this primer and the rest of the Quercetin & Oak Anti-Aging line at Korres, and Sephora.
